On Falling and Epiphany and Taking Back Paper Journalling.

I've systematically returned to habits that should have never left in the first place. Paper-Journaling is the way to go.

Feel Free to click on the pictures to see a full enlargement. Bear with my atrocious handwriting.

  1. Do you think you have more creativity when you write on paper? I'm just curious why you think it's so necessary. Maybe I should be doing it, you know? :)

  2. This is one scripture and subject of Faith that I adore so much. There is nothing more to say, you have said it all. Not a bad handwriting

  4. Thanks. Its absolutely fascinating, i agree with you. We always say and confess and know that the power of sin is broken, but we never, well for me at least, i've never walked around with the mentality that i am dead to sin, that it is actually powerless you know, and God's spirit enables me over it. I guess i've always seen it as above me... the book of Romans pretty much rocks. lol.

  5. Being dead to sin is what I found out will be the summary of my christian walk. Still struggling to 'die daily' but I know I will get there one day. My opinion is I refuse to get close to my weaknesses 'working out my salvation with fear and trembling' and 'fleeing from every appearance of evil'. If drinking is my weakness, I stay away from going to a bar and other gigs or raves where I will see alcohol and be tempted to drink and vice versa for any thing my flesh is drawing me to. And in all with prayer, we shall overcome. By the way did I say your paper- Journaling is really cool?

  7. Thanks. And I agree with you, avoiding and praying. I love how you have the same perspective that we need to constantly die daily - until we get there one day... one day :D

  9. When we think of ourselves as 'dead to sin' and 'alive in Christ,' our perspectives truly change and we become transformed from the inside out.

"It was not just a show of love-beyond that. It was power." I'm loving that sentence SO MUCH right now.

And oh, your handwriting is fab. Who said it was atrocious? Lol. Please keep posting your journals. I loved reading this entry. I might write soon and post as well, thanks to inspiration from you *grins*

  10. What a great idea for a blog post. I'm not the artsy type with my blogging, but if you don't mind, I may use this idea some time!

  13. Haha thanks about the handwriting compliment, and the encouragement.
Yes, a perspective change does start to dawn, but alas as long as we are in this flesh, we need to keep reminding ourselves of being "dead" and "alive" and to whom.

  14. No not necessarily more creative with paper, but i once heard someone say that you remember what your write down because as humans we are so enamored by our writing... so hence why. Plus since i'm a lazy student, its easier to take snapshots of something i want to share :-)
